Also, if you're looking for a small step up in accommodations from a campground Clearwater Lodge has a bunkhouse you may want to look into. |

07/13/2017 08:09PM If you a looking for a 6-pack, be aware that outfitters don't have the proper license to sell regular beer. They only sell 3.2% versions, unless the laws have changed. Used to be that you needed to go to a state licensed store to get regular beer. Tastes pretty much the same, but with less "buzz" factor. I found that out at the Holiday in Grand Marais and Sawbill. I usually either bring it from home or stop at a liquor store in Wisconsin on the way up. I think what you get in restaurants/bars is the real deal though. Tomster |

07/13/2017 11:18AM Is there a good campground near Bearskin / Hungry Jack Lake? In August I'll be backpacking the Angleworm Trail over near Ely, and need to pick up my daughter at Menogyn early in the morning, and realized I'd be unwise to try and hike out, drive, and still make it to Bearksin before 10 AM. |
