08/21/2017 01:50PM Its a drag to make dinner in the dark. Stop in Agnes and do some crappie fishing! |

08/21/2017 11:44AM Yea, gametime decision sounds right. We will be double portaging, and are more interesting in enjoying the journey than anything. |

08/21/2017 07:21AM Pretty much what FRED said. A lot depends on what time you start, how fast you travel (single or double portage), and a big factor - wind. I think it's a game time decision. |

08/21/2017 03:34AM You have to realize that in mid September the crowds should be less = less people on the portages, should find more empty campsites, lower water levels might be a problem, and a biggy a lot less daylight hours. Plus you could run into some unstable weather patterns. The major pluses are, less people, more empty campsites, no bugs. The colors should be great, good or all gone. Personally that is when I like to trip. FRED |

08/21/2017 03:07AM We are heading out from EP 16 in mid september and hoping to base camp this year in the Boulder Bay, or Tiger Bay area. Wondering if we should stop on Agnes the first day, or push on through? Concerns would be how late in the day we would arrive, and of course finding a campsite. Also, would love some day trip advice from same area, thanks. |
