08/26/2017 09:34AM I've made several sil nylon tents with stove jacks along with ti stoves (only about 9 lbs for everything) that we've used in the fall. Nice having the heat and a place to dry things, and late fall is a great time of year to be out there. |

08/25/2017 10:59PM Were going in late October. Thinking about bringing my Snowtrekker winter canvas tent and stove so we can hot tent. Never done this without snow on the ground. It wont be a heavy portage trip due to the extra weight of the tent and stove (which is light for a winter tent and stove) but still much more than traditional canoe gear. Maybe a base camp with day trips that have more portages. Just curious if any of you have used your winter camping gear in fall for a canoe trip. Thanks |
