In the last three years we have seen maybe 5 in mid September. We'll see this year!

We put in at Mudro in 8/19 and the only problem we had with skeeters was for about 30-45 minutes right after sundown. Then they went away. So I would say September they should be no problem with the cooler temps in the evening.

I saw one mosquito between 9/11 and 9/15 last year.

We went mid-September in 2015, the one day it rained we got a few skeeters. Other than that you could almost say there were none.

A nice open campsite with a little breeze and life will be good :)

Hardly any. But it depends on where you're going. If you're in the Isabella area it seems there's mosquitos no matter what the conditions.

The mosquitoes dropped off precipitously after the frost this past week. I expect by the beginning of September they will be no issue at all.

Ain't no skeeters in the B-DUB. At least not many in Sept. Have a great trip.

quote QueticoMike: "You might get some skeeters at dusk, but they won't be horrid."

I go mainly in early September and this is what I experience as well. There may be the occasional horsefly in the day when it's calm out too. Head nets won't be necessary unless you're out at dusk. It's my favorite time to trip. Less people and bugs.

Thank you. Weather looks like it MAY be mostly good...

Nights in the low 30s and 40s so they will pretty much be non existent! At leas that what we are banking on next week when we head out!

How are the bugs -- especially mosquitoes -- now, and likely to be, in early September?
