09/18/2017 09:27PM We were in this area this weekend, My brothers checked their phones for weather and had texts and data w/AT&T on Fairy, Gull, Fourtown and Tin Can. It was a weak data signal. Those are the only ones they checked, so possible coverage on the other lakes. Didn't try to make calls. |

09/18/2017 01:18PMquote IceColdGold: "Not sure if it was AT&T, but some in my group had reception on both fairy and gun." +1 I have also gotten service on these lakes (Boot included), but it's still very spotty. I always plan for no cell service, which is one of the greatest gifts of tripping.... |

09/18/2017 11:16AM I've been able to get service around Sandpit, Alruss, and Range Lake area. I have not traveled to Fourtown in while so I'm not sure about service there. |

09/18/2017 09:47AM I like my InReach the best - it has text capabilities and you can rent them from Piragis. |

09/18/2017 09:22AM One can never count on cell service in canoe country. If you absolutely need to communicate, bring a satellite phone. If a simple "I'm ok" message is the only message you need to send, consider a SPOT device. |

09/18/2017 05:14AM My wife and I are traveling to the Mudro-Fourtown-Boot-Gull-Gun-Beartrap-Moosecamp areas and need to be able to reach home to check-in. Contemplating a satellite phone rental but the AT&T coverage map actually shows that we'd have data and cell coverage up there. Does anyone have any actual experience with att coverage in the area? Are there any spots in the area that are higher than others and consistently get cell coverage? Thank you in advance for your help. |
