01/04/2018 02:34PM I have done several trips (2013, 2014, and 2016) through Kawishiwi Lake, EP #37, since the Pagami Creek fire. The route from Kawishiwi to Polly runs along the edge (kind of in and out) of the Pagami Creek fire burn; sometimes you're going through it, sometimes not, sometimes one side is burned and the other not. Having said that, there is a lot of regeneration (since 2011) so it's not bleak, although yes, there are some blackened stumps/trees. I have not done the Lady Chain, but do not believe any of that part of you trip even goes through a burn. There are pictures from the 2013, 2014, and 2016 trips at my Shutterfly site , which will give you a better idea. |
