01/26/2018 09:06AM Skeeters will still be bad. Fishing should be about the same for either of those weeks. |

01/26/2018 08:57AM It seems to me that it is a little less buggy by mid July since the black flies are dying back by then, and dragon flies have hatched. |

01/26/2018 08:31AM So it looks like my summer trip is going to have to change from the last week of June (6/25-6/29) to the second full week of July (7/8-7/13). I know a couple weeks can make a big difference up there. Other than slightly higher temps, what else can I expect/should I plan for? More likelihood of bugs (I expect more mosquitoes)? More rain? Not as good/better fishing? I don't want to go when it's too hot but I'm from North Carolina where it will be 90+ degree with a million percent humidity that time of year so what might seem hot for some in the B-dub, would not be bad for me. It looks like typical highs that time of year are anywhere from low 70s to low 80s at the most and that is not bad in my book. I know this is all variable and conditions are hard to predict. Just wondering if anyone has experience with differences between these two time periods. Thanks in advance. |
