02/05/2018 10:12AM Of course; often times it not possible but, if time allows I'd recommend a loop without having ti backtrack. The 2 EP's you mention are amoung the most desired in all of the BW. And, for good reason! There's an incredible amount of beautiful areas/lakes to explore. Here's one version of a possible loop. You'd just need to modify the beginning and start at the LIS EP. |

02/05/2018 09:32AM Hi all, This year will be our sixth year coming out to the BWCA. We tend to come the 2nd or 3rd week of September. We've done Rose/ Gunflint loop , Lady Chain loop, Cherokee loop, and last year we went in at EP16 and base camped on Agnes. It was our first time base camping, and the old parts of us enjoyed it, but the young parts needed more challenge . We are thinking this year of going back to EP16 (really liked working with John and Lynn at Voyageurs North) and doing a modified version of base camping, something like travel a day-rest a day kind of thing. Wondering about doing this as a loop from EP16 Moose river to EP14 Little Indian Sioux? Or Just spending a night on Agnes, and then a night or two on LLC, and then heading back the way we came. Would love ideas on these two routes as well as any others, we are open to anything, thanks as always. |
