EP's along the Isabella river & nearby area EP's.

When are you going? That also plays into the crowds.

The PMA's are going to be your best bet for solitude. Or find lakes that are difficult to get to. Or try to find lakes that only have one campsite...If you get it, you'll have the entire lake to yourself.

I have had pretty good luck avoiding crowds when entering entry point #1, Trout Lake, and heading back to Chad, Buck, and Western lake area. The PMA areas would probably be less crowded, but fishing does not seem to be as good compared to other spots.

Any entry with long, tough portages and poor fishing that leads to the same . . .

Look for the ones with the fewest trip reports ;).

I hesitate to say because after this thread they are liable to be more busy. However I'll throw out a couple anyways: Hog Creek and Homer Lake. South Kawishiwi River was not busy either but leads to busier areas.

Thoughts on the least busiest entry points/areas in the BWCA? After all these years in the Q, I feel like I was spoiled!
