01/05/2024 05:12PM Ice is thin currently. Most of the bigger trout lakes had open water last week. Some of the smaller lakes only had 4-6 inches after the rain and warm weather. |

01/05/2024 08:41AM Jeff Sundin's Fish rapper According to this source, there was no ice two days ago. That can change quick, though. |

01/04/2024 06:06PM I would think in 10 days you should be good. We had single digits last night and below freezing temps in the forecast. There is less than an inch of snow on the lakes. I can post hear if I here any reports. |

01/03/2024 07:21PM Was planning a trip out to trout lake via vermillion, in 10 days. I have read that vermillion has an abundance of ice but it's a much shallower lake than trout. Just wondering if there's any winter lake trout hunters on here with any experience on the lake, and might have an idea if it's got safe ice yet? |
