07/16/2015 03:19PM Same experience as Banksiana last year on Sarah. Went out for an evening troll to pick up a few fish for our group of four. 2 hours later the two of us could'nt lift our arms from fighting lakers. Kept 1 that fed the four of us. Great meal on a beautiful campsite. Caught big walleyes in the summer (early July) years ago on Sarah trolling around the two smaller islands in the south end of the lake. Don't remember catching any big bass, but I am sure they are there. Caught my biggest SMB in Quetico on Tuck. We were traveling and I believe it was on the west side of the lake near the portage to Robinson. Lots of structure. Didn't take the time to measure it, but it pulled the canoe around in circles for a while. Guessing 5 lbs. |

I know Sarah is one of the Quetico lakes that has some exceptionally good laker fishing, and other species as well. The lake is just so darn large it'd take an awful long time to figure out where the better spots are. Sending you an email. |

01/30/2011 10:59AM PineKnot- Sarah was one of the lakes that convinced me to give up fishing when traveling solo. Set up camp and went out to troll for dinner- caught three lakers in 15 minutes, the smallest about 6-7#- none of them suitable for a solo diner. The next fish I had on pulled me around lake for ten minutes- all I ever saw was a big wide flash deep in the clear water when it let me winch it towards the surface. The solo boat I paddle is quite "slippery" when standing still- not well suited for the hand-to-fin combat you engage in on your solos. |

01/30/2011 09:37AM Passed through Sarah a few times. Site U5 is a decent site, as Mocha described. Good for a one-nighter, but probably not for a basecamp. I have stayed at RC, which may be the best site on Sarah and a very good basecamp. Then again, I haven't visited all the other Sarah sites. As for fishing, I have never caught anything of any significance anywhere on Sarah and not for the lack of trying. Smallish bass and pike. I consider Sarah to be the "Dead Sea of Fishing" in my journal. Anyone have better results on Sarah? |

01/29/2011 08:07PM stayed 2 nights on Sarah at site U5. very big site with 3 decent tent pads, more sheltered with pines than the TZ site,   nice fire pit area, many trails through island on lush, spongey-mossy terrain. The other site on the the island is TZ, it's quite used and wide open to the north. definitely could cast right from shore along this site. a pretty strong storm blew in during lunch and had we been at this site we would have had no shelter. we found a really small firepit on the southern tip of the island, maybe someone used this for a hammock site. the site slopes to the lake within 15-20 feet. bad for sleepwalkers! :)

01/29/2011 07:32PM We have fished through Tuck many times going to and from Kett and Sarah, and camped and fished it once without much luck. Smallish trout and bass. It's got structure up the wazoo, as they say, all the surrounding lakes offer great fishing and when we were there in the Spring there was evidence that people had winter-camped and ice-fished there. It just looks so fishy but we've never figured it out. |

01/26/2011 11:30AM Spent a night on Tuck in spring of 09. Very nice camp in the north central island group. Reference to site LT on the campsite database. There is one site on the island (not 2 as indicated). It is the southern most of the islands in the group. It faces south, has a decent log table, and room for a large group. The lake area between this camp and the northeast tip of the long penninsula protruding from the south shore, appears to offer good potential for fishing, especially early season bass. Lots of reef structure and exposed boulders. -YB |

12/09/2010 06:40PM My son and I camped on Kett (KZ) last year...it wasn't great, a little bit overused, not much duff, some small rocks and roots, but not bad for a late afternoon stop and morning departure...nice firepit. We had stopped at KR and found it very overgrown with downed trees and grass growing in the firepit near the shore...we thought KZ was a little nicer. JP is another really large open site on Robinson, but is very popular... |

12/09/2010 01:28PM I stayed on PCD Site KR on Kett back when Jimmy Carter was President. All I can remeber is it had a rock bath tub by the shore where water than had washed into it had been warmed by the sun all day and it was a beautiful thing for my last night of a 17 day trip. |

12/06/2010 07:20PM If you go to the Quetico PCD site. "J9 & JR" are the 2 best sites on Robinson,We stayed at "J9" back in June 2008,had the whole lake to ourselves for a week.Nice big site with an easy landing area."JR" is a great site also but we seen the other first and just stayed there. |
