08/23/2012 01:15AM That looks great! I'll have to wait until that work schedule comes out, but I hope I can go! |

08/23/2012 12:43AM I so very much wish to go. It is to close to deer hunting week and I can not take that much time off so close together. it's a real bummer for me, every year something gets in the way and I end up not being able to go. I am sure I would learn a bunch. I hope you all have a great time! |

08/22/2012 05:01PM I will certainly be there! I think I am bringing an entourage with me too! A few of the guys who have joined me canoeing during the summer got to hear about the symposium and were pretty excited to attend this year's. Thanks for posting. |

08/18/2012 07:39AM I know a few of you attend or are interested in attending the annual (traditional) Winter Camping Symposium held at a camp in Minnesota located a bit south of Duluth. This is just a reminder to mark your calendars and note that this year it starts a day earlier on Thursday. I guess the event has grown to where it won't fit into the weekend anymore. The dates are October 25th-28th. Here is the web site. http://www.wintercampingsymposium.com/ It's a great event for people interested in traditional (hot) tent winter camping and trekking. I use my tent and stove on spring and fall canoe trips, too. It's a wonderful thing when it's in the 40s or low 50s, and raining. Woodsmoke Winter Camping Symposium |
