Lots of updates to the WCS Site recently. Please note the kids program which is new this year. More updates coming everyday.

That looks great! I'll have to wait until that work schedule comes out, but I hope I can go!

I so very much wish to go. It is to close to deer hunting week and I can not take that much time off so close together. it's a real bummer for me, every year something gets in the way and I end up not being able to go. I am sure I would learn a bunch. I hope you all have a great time!

I will certainly be there! I think I am bringing an entourage with me too! A few of the guys who have joined me canoeing during the summer got to hear about the symposium and were pretty excited to attend this year's. Thanks for posting.

I know a few of you attend or are interested in attending the annual (traditional) Winter Camping Symposium held at a camp in Minnesota located a bit south of Duluth. This is just a reminder to mark your calendars and note that this year it starts a day earlier on Thursday. I guess the event has grown to where it won't fit into the weekend anymore. The dates are October 25th-28th.

Here is the web site. http://www.wintercampingsymposium.com/

It's a great event for people interested in traditional (hot) tent winter camping and trekking. I use my tent and stove on spring and fall canoe trips, too. It's a wonderful thing when it's in the 40s or low 50s, and raining.
