10/29/2013 06:58PM Thanks, AW. Good trip report. Makes me want to attend next year's symposium .... even if it is a 2,000 mile trip. Here's a direct link to AW's report: Winter Camping Symposium Report |

That's a good idea. I'll try to put one together. My photo's of this years event don't do it justice, but I'll give it a whirl later today. |

10/27/2013 05:59PM Just got back this afternoon. Had a ball. Really enjoyed Bears Friday night keynote address about his annual New Year's BWCA adventures. It was hilarious. I'm not sure how I would react if a saw a bunch of guys skiing towards me wearing dresses......but it looked hilarious. |

04/03/2013 01:04PM I attended for the first time last fall. I really enjoyed it. I learned a lot at the numerous seminars I attended. Good classes, a fascinating tent tour. Good meals and after dinner speakers. "Tent tour" on Saturday afternoon. Never saw so many Stormy Kromer hats in one place in my life!! Loved it. |
