10/01/2013 10:22PM Yeah, I didn't see anyone from Cross Bay Lake the day I entered until three days later on Omega Lake. Here's the tamaracks you missed: |

10/01/2013 04:30PM We didn't see anyone until we entered Omega on the second day. For awhile it felt like we where the only ones left on the planet :) The colors where just starting to change, the Tamaracks had not started ! They should be great this week ! |

10/01/2013 06:52AM Thanks for the report. It sounds like you might have enjoyed your first trip ;). I went from Cross Bay to Poplar the same time last Sept by the same route. You picked a couple of tougher portages - Long Island through to Omega - for your first one! I really enjoyed my trip through that area. I didn't see people for several days in there - how about you? I also had beautiful weather and peak fall foliage. Were the tamaracks golden when you went through there? |

09/30/2013 11:05PM The first time is always special. Something cool about waking up and watching the fog slowly melt away |
