jquast34	01/30/2014 01:32PM The burn area has its pros and cons. The major con is that it lacks the beauty of greenery, but on the plus side there is more visibility to spot campsites and view sunsets and the night sky. Also, there are less bugs in the burn area, however, less wildlife as well.
bapabear	01/27/2014 10:16PM Thanks for sharing your trip. Any tips or further comments on camping in a burn area? I keep knocking on wood that we haven't had a canoe tip on our trips - yet! Looks like you enjoyed good fishing.

jquast34	01/27/2014 02:48PM Yeah, it was not the greatest idea we have ever come up with. Not the worst either. I would not have done it if it wouldn't have been on the way out, or if the weather was worse, or if the rapids were worse, but we made it and it was so exhilarating I'll never forget it. No regrets
