02/11/2015 02:52PM Agree with tumblehome. We went in Nym to Jean and out via Sturgeon/Pickerel Narrows two years ago. That was the end of May (around the 26th or so). If I remember correctly everything was iced-solid up there until about the 22nd when it just went -- almost within a day or two. Hard to predict but I'm with you and hoping for a warmer/wetter Spring for an earlier ice-out! |

02/11/2015 12:07PM I am hoping for an early spring by May this year. We fished up the Gunflint in mid May last year among chunks of ice and the laker fishing was great. |
