03/06/2016 10:12PM Go to Lake Superior Provincial Park. I camped there about ten or so years ago. I went in at Minjinumshing (sp) lake. You can park your car there, pay the park fees and canoe to various campsites on the lake which is very pretty and just like the Boundary waters. It is also close to gargantua park on the lake superior coast which is a great day trip. If my memory serves me correctly, its about 2 hours up the coast just north of the sand river. You would like it and definitely get the BW feel. |

03/03/2016 10:13AM Lake Superior Provincial Park is just north of Sault Ste Marie. There is also Pukaskwa National Park north of there too. |

03/03/2016 09:22AM We are looking to take the boys (7-10) just north of the border to Canada (closer than the BW by 7 hours) and am having trouble finding places to camp. We dont want to go way up, just an hour north of the boarder or so. I can find a few lodges/cabin (only a couple) but not much as far as camping spots at all and nothing like BW where you paddle the lake and find a camping spot. Do any of you have any experience in that area or could you recommend a spot? thanks |
