Picked up a new Pelican IM2100 camera case for my first trip to the BWCA in late June with a Scout group. Great deal from Amazon, $79 with shipping. It's a little heavy with the gear, but should work great. A bonus, I received the adjustable dividers instead of the pluck foam. The only problem-it has a divider going the long way (vs. the width which would work better for a camera), had to use some padding from another case to make it work.
Now all I need is a pack & ....

Been taking a Pelican (1300 or 1400), since I went to interchangeable lens cameras. I hand carry and place on canoe bottom in front of me for access. Also can be used as a stepping stool seat.

I have the Trekpak divider system in my Pelican case and I love the stuff, I probably fit a third more stuff in my case than with pick and pluck and I can easily move the dividers around. I mostly move just one divider depending on which lens I leave on the camera, because the small and large lens share the same space just not at the same time. It's not cheap any you can probably DIY the stuff with coroplast and foam but I didn't feel like that hassle.

That system looks terrific, just what I've been looking for. The pick and pluck starts to fall apart after a while of heavy use and you're right, it looks like this system will give me room for at least one maybe two extra lenses.

I have a Pelican 1200 case, and I like it - sturdy, watertight, have lots of foam stuff inside in case it's dropped or something rough happens. Only downside of it for me is that the latches are quite loud. If I were paddling along and spotted a moose or something, the sound of me opening the case to get the camera is likely to spook the animal.

Pelicans are bullet proof. The Trek Pack dividers are pricy but work well. Plus, they float if you capsize! Has anyone tested that?
