That is an odd concept and costly. But it is for a specific type of camping, so it may just be the bee's knees. I wonder how hard it is to open when its time to relieve yourself during the night.

This is what I was thinking... maybe you run the trunk inside the tent instead of outside like the picture shows, but that whole setup makes me claustrophobic just thinking about it.

That may be an extream example of a snorkel door but they have been on expedition dome tents for decades. Look at an old version North Face VE24.
