Money wise I don't know... I'm guessing a grand or two if taken care of. But some older boats go for much more. The ones I know of worth really big money are all original because they never seen water. Any distinguishing attributes you can post? Often that can drive a price up. I am meeting up with a guy that refurbished such boats for people north of Seattle, I'll ask him. I know I'm looking at a hefty bill to have him replicate our old wood canvas fishing boat.
But otherwise, it's a beauty, you'll love it. It's worth many paddles on many waters. And from my experiance hauling many a pretty boat, you'll be approached a lot with gawkers.

This may be helpful? "How much is my old canoe worth?"
Oh, and as for the covering, your canoe was likely redone with Dacron rather than the traditional canvas. A quick search for that should give you a lot of information on the pros and cons of Dacron vs. traditional canvas covering.
