I've always had pretty good luck on Brule. I think having a depth finder is important. Once you have located the structure, then its a matter of what method you use to catch them. If I had to say what I have had the best luck on it would be live bait. If you don't mind leave a few for me!! I'll be up there middle of August. Good luck.

Head to Echo lake and fish for walleye there. I have caught bass in the cone bay, but walleye elude me on that lake. I don't camp on the lake though so I don't hit the morning and evening bite.

Echo is good, try the south side of the island in North Bay towards dark.

We were up on Brule a couple years back over Memorial weekend. Had great luck in North Bay. We focused on the eastern narrows, stream inlet and drop off of point from shoreline of NW campsite. Smallies were hitting topwater, Zulu and Jig-leech combos. We caught a few walleye using jig-leech combos near the noted drop-off. Pike were everywhere and were quite a hassle. We did however have a pike approaching the 40" mark follow to our canoes a few occasions with no success in landing.

Good luck!
