I've paddled that stretch a few times. Bottle portage to Mudro. Usually starting at Moose River North. And have done a loop type trip with that route. The shuttle is well used by many. I've seen several groups dropped off there. Nice boats out of Andersons. They have quite a trek to get there. If your thinking of quetico and don't have a rabc permit they can run you up to Canadian customs on the way on Sandpoint Lake. Just came off of Crane Saturday. Kind of spooky seeing more than normal border patrol including a helicopter. My group found pointing to them earns a fly by... very low. Also had extra us customs agents question us at the Canadian customs.
This tow would allow you to get to Mudro in short order. Are you thinking a straight shot there or some kind of extra paddling. You could out of iron go down and do the Sunday Lake/ bear trap river in the pma. You'd have a few options.
