What was the water levels like?, Could You paddle over the first portage?

Leaving in a week, just looking for a little up to date info on the water levels. I've been in this area many times and have a good handle on the fishing and camps in this area. Hoping for really high water levels but you never know.

And the second beaver dam a well...

But that third beaver dam has a significant drop so we had to pull out and hop down to the lower area to put the canoes back in.

Jeepgirl and I just got back from there on Sunday.

Black flies are out with a vengeance. Bring your headnets. I also had a few ticks when we stopped on Malberg our first day in. Jeepgirl had one that day as well.
