Excited to be leading a group of 4 out of Clearwater Lake to Caribou or Little Caribou next week. I have gotten a couple fishing tips but I am wondering if someone who has fishing Caribou before can give specific info on location and technique to catch those walleyes. We will be bringing leeches and be set up with slip bobbers and then also set up with a casting rod. I tend to favor crank baits for those, but I am open to other suggestions. I would like to mark our map up with fishing spots to try.
Also, is the site on Little Caribou worth trying to get? I heard that the site is great but the fishing isn't as good. Can anyone confirm?
We had luck on the east end of the lake in front of and east of the last camp site. Also caught lots of smallies and a 39" pike near the island. That camp site is a really nice one also.
