Hello friends.
has anyone harvested any berries yet. I feel it is a bit soon yet?
Daughter and I are putting in at EP 19 Friday morning.
Any input appreciated.
Happy paddling.

We came out this past Friday and most blueberry plants were berry free still. I saw a few with some very small green berries. Not sure how long it takes from there. We were up on Basswood near the falls.

Have a good trip!

I was wondering the same thing, but more the red raspberries that come on a little earlier than the blueberries. Any input?

I was up around the 19th and saw many green blueberries. In Duluth I had one that was blue in the past couple of days. I would think it isn't impossible to get a few blueberries. I think it will be a bumper crop this year with how wet it has been.

Keep an eye out for the raspberries, probably your best bet this time of year. Might get lucky on a few early blue berries but the peak of blue berry season for me has always been after the raspberry season is starting to fad (late July into August).

I know I've been up in early July before and had good luck with the raspberries.

It is also strawberry season now. The wild strawberries are small, but they pack a lot of flavor into a tiny package!

The first couple of weeks of July is typically good.
