I have been picking up a few things from Kuiu and recently noticed a new item which I had to have. They have a lanyard which extends to 3ft. Perfect for putting my boga grip on and not having to worry about dropping and losing it. I wonder what other applications could be used?

Kuiu's clothing is first-class...I own quite a few items of theirs.

Can see reasons for the lanyard besides a rangefinder...neat idea.

I can see it holding some fishing pliers or multi tool. I have a tendency to drop those.

Just got the lanyard (along with Tiburon warm weather pants > will give gear review after use) and am a little disappointed.

3ft is a bit shorter than expected ;-)

Not sure it is long enough on its own to be useful unless anchored very near the gunnel or on your person. I suppose a short leash could be used (a 2 ft length of looped air craft cable for example) in addition.
