Boundary Waters Summer

Living woods, Full force
Examine map, Plot course

Kevlar light, Deep stroke
Fellow voyageurs, Friendly folk

Mosquitoes hoover, Buzzing drone
Itchy bite, Wind blown

Boulder point, Otters play
Tent up, Campsite stay

Cedar fragrance, Needle floor
Cobalt sky, Eagles soar

Strip attire, Hang limb
Ledge leap, Refreshing swim

Surface lure, Chugging pop
Smallmouth explosion, Heart stop

Beavertail slap, Timber lodge
Nylon tarp, Rain dodge

Food hung, Avoid bear
Branch splinter, Night scare

Portage packs, Move forth
Delightful juncture, Summer north

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. I never really know if anyone enjoys seeing my poetry when it is posted due to lack of responses. I'm sure there are probably others who like it, they just don't say anything ;)

I try to paint a picture the best I can with 80 words. Thanks everyone for the kind words!
