Okay so I got the Fishfinder in today. Have no clue what type of power supply I should purchase for use in the canoe. Does anybody have a recommendation it would be much appreciated.
Once again Garmin 151dv Echo.

This is what I used. Others have used 10 AA holders, but this works great for me for the past 4 years with the Garmin Echo 100.

I used these to attach the finder to the battery pack.

I saw several members post setups that I liked, so I combined what I liked about them, added a few of my own variations, and now I have this. I love my set up.

The blue container holds the AA battery holder, and an additional 8 AA batteries. I've only needed the second set once, and that was on day 6 of a 6 day trip, and I had accidentally left the finder on all night. The container is screwed into the board with 2 screws and fender washers. The lid snaps on fairly tight, but I added the BDB for additional security.

You can also search "power supply" or "fish finder" on here and get way more info.

Hope this helps.
