Poplar lake parking question?

Is the public parking lot on the west end of poplar lake a safe place to leave a vehicle for a week in the park?

Didn't have any issues when I left my car there - even with a bunch of gear in it. As long as you don't leave valuables or food in your car parking should be no problem. The parking lot itself seemed pretty out of the way but well traveled, limiting potential exposure to theft.

If you have the slightest concern just park over at Rockwood. I'm sure a couple of bucks will get you a safe secure parking spot and depending on what EP you're using you might cut down on a little paddling.

Yep, the folks at Rockwood have been very accommodating in this regard, plus I always buy a baseball cap when I'm there. They're made in America!
