Any word on how the colors are shaping up in the North Country. My wife and I are doing some northern trip (either BWCA or SHT) but want to make the final decision on where the leafs are looking nice.
BTW I'm aware of the DNR report which I will link for those who may not follow this:

We were just in Ely yesterday. My guestimate would be about 25-30%. There were a few maples that were fire red and yellow but there was also still a fair amount of green trees.

On the range is pretty green in places and colorful in others. I suspect the weekend will be fabulous with the sun coming out tomorrow. So far most our color got tossed to the ground by rain... Lots of rain. I feel bad I can't adjust my bil and sisters dock because of my condition. I have to watch it getting flooded.

quote bapazian1: "Anyone been up the north shore? Seems like a late show this fall for most of the north. 1st hand report would be appreciated."Was in two harbors 2 weeks ago and drove to grand marais, there was more color in the cities than along the shore at that time.
