Wow! What a beautiful replica. And the next time you catch, it'll be 21" and you'll need to give the taxidermist some more money. Be forewarned that if you release it again it'll be even more money down the road!
I will paddle eternal, Kevlar and carbon.

Thanks everyone for the nice feedback, I was pleased too.
I'm only mounting one per species for now, and I have goals in mind for each. I'd like to get a LMB mounted facing the opposite direction so I could position them together.
Since I got this back, I am now obsessed with planning future trips around adding to the collection!

It would be so great to have the right kind of home / room to be able to have various mounts. All I have been able to get away with is a large yellowfin tuna sculpture which hangs on the wall in my office along with a Snook painting. Both were considered "art" by Mrs. MT.
Quite certain that a fantastic mount like what Atb has is a non-starter. A fellow has to pick his battles ;-)

I'm blessed...my better half is very accommodating, and I have a stone fireplace in my finished basement that is getting the north woods treatment.

Seems kind of expensive. At that price, my wife will be reluctant to have a mount of me made after I pass. Still, I can't help but wonder what pose she would choose.

$15/in for the reproduction, and adding the rock and driftwood was a bit more."
I don't know about drift wood, but "stuffing" a rock could be a challenge.
That is not to bad of a price really for the skill, patience and all needed there. Congrats on the mount and looking forward to more.
