Hi all,
Planning this summer's trip and after spending my last two trips surrounded by blown down trees am hoping to avoid that this year.

Looking at the far Eastern tip of the BW :: Pine, John, East and West Pike. Anybody there last year and confirm or deny how much this area was effected? I know it was hit by the '99 blowdown and am fine with the remnants of that.

Thanks!!

Last Sept we entered at Clearwater. Then up to Mountain, Moose, North Fowl, up the Royal River and came back through John and the Pike Lakes. No blowdown noticed in any of that area.

The Ham fire (2007) went through following a line - north to south from Rush thru Iron, Little Mayhew, Carb, East end of Gun Flint lake and Little Gun Flint Lake. The rest is fine!

No worries given the lakes you mentioned.

There was spotty, small spots on the East end of Clearwater and slightly east of the East end. Also some damage on the big Pine portage, but the big damage was west of those locations. Lakes you listed should be good or unnoticeable damage.
