Planning a trip for some stargazing this next year and was wondering if anyone may recall some memorable east-facing campsites in Quetico, preferably out of the Prairie Portage entry.
Thanks.

Its more north central, but campsite KP on Sturgeon is a long and narrow, nearly north/south peninsula. Mostly flat and pretty open site with a beautiful beach. Below is a sunrise photo from the beach.
There's a nice campsite on Mcintyre just north of where Mcintyre creek goes out. It faces east. There is sort of a long ledge rock "beach" that would give you great views of the sky.
There's a decent campsite on the island right when you enter North Bay that has a nice, flat slab of granite that gives views west, north, and east. Not the best site, but it's not terrible either.
A very nice site that would work well would be on South Lake, just after the portage that exits North Bay on the north/northeast side (the one up the long, shallow river section, not the one farther west towards Lost Bay).
