The zipper is coming loose from the softshell on my XC ski jacket. I have others, but this is my favorite and I'd like to repair it if possible.

The tag says 94% polyester and 6% spandex. I think some sort of adhesive would work, but thought I would see if any of the folks with knowledge of these materials would know what is best.

How about some white or off white tenacious tape? Cut it in a "u" shape do it fits the area around the zipper.

You would need an adhesive that is flexible and doesn't harden, or crack in the cold.

Might I suggest a contact cement such as barge cement, or whatever kind comes with the thermarest repair kits. That would bond well and remain flexible. The trick in this case would be the delicate application to the small mating surfaces with some sort of fine point tool.

You could always sew it, too. Run a stitch around the entire zipper to blend the repair into the jacket.

I'd take it to a local tailor and have them repair it. I've used our local shop to replace broken zippers. It wasn't cheap, but is was cheaper than buying a new jacket. And it was better than new as they put in a more heavy-duty zipper.

+1 on the tailor. if it needs to be super reinforced, try a shoe repair place.

I was thinking the same thing about a shoe repair place. A lot of them do light zipper repair work as well. For a fraction of the cost of a tailor. I had a zipper repaired at a local shoe joint for less than $10. My local Army Surplus also does zipper repairs. They did a zipper repair on a gun case for me. Less than $5.
