Sorry. Super busy at work.....I mean crazy!

Let's go back to Quetico. This is a view from up behind a popular campsite and I believe it is mostly looking south.

Campsite looks like one I stayed at in 2002 on Louisa Lake. I just do not remember such high cliffs. Louisa will be my guess anyway.

Let's take another look at those cliffs.....hint hint

There it is! Jackfish has it with Ted. Those are the picto cliffs and the campsite is the one with the message jar. We found a note in there from our highly esteemed fellow member Bogwalker, and may I say that his prose was both eloquent and articulate......surprised the hell out of us ;)

Where is Ted Lake. I can't find it on Google earth.

I was looking at Googleearth last night and was wondering if there was a way to get from Ted to McIntyre. It looks like there is. I'm going to try and get in there for my Spring trip. Thanks for the map, Mocha.

We went from Mac to Ted via the route that Mocha posted. If you want some tips for finding those portages, let me know.

04/01/2018 03:32PM
if i remember correctly, those portages are all boulders and mossy... or i was just having a bad day :)

Cowdoc- Send me whatever info you can on finding the portages.

Mocha- I've had plenty of bad days like that -- what's a few more:) ?

My Ted Lake note in the jar was written during a younger, more philosophical phase of my life when I gave a shit about stuff.

As I've gotten older, I have started moving into the Grumpy Old man phase where I don't give a shit, also known as the Honey Badger phase.

Any note today would be much shorter and make a comment something like. "I have no idea why I stopped at this crappy campsite that Kiporby promised me was 5 star. I'd give it no more than 3 and a half."

Too late......you've already showed us your warm, fuzzy, vulnerable, soft underbelly side. You shall forever be persecuted. Message jars are like the internet. Once you put it out there, the whole world has access to it forever. It's so cute that you think you have a Honey Badger Phase.....
