i have noticed a larger number of permits taken the month of may, at least it sure looks that way to me. april 15th, snowing in ne iowa, sure seems as if paddle season is a way's off.
today, i AM finally sick of it.

Curt, ya got the time. Just pick a general location, Grand Marais, Tofte, Ely, camp out a nite and check what EP's are open at a Ranger Station. Been doing that since I retired.

thanks ken, that's my plan, no permit, no worries, right now i am looking snf lakes with camping, along the echo trail. i want to paddle the islands of western burntside one day as well. so much to do, with so many places.
jeanette lake area is on my list as well as the fenske, to bass loop.
i don't plan on a permit this spring, oh yea, triangle lake for a night or two as well.
may 19th is the depart date.
