I'll apologize in advance for duplicating this post across multiple forums, but I think this needs to reach as many people as possible. I'm fairly active on twitter and one of the feeds that I follow is Startribune Outdoors (@striboutdoors)...and no, I have no association with the feed and am receiving nothing for promoting their feed. Today they tweeted out about an article they have regarding ticks...precautions, treatments, etc. Also includes advice from the state health department. Below is a link to the article....some very good information as we're entering the tick season. Fairly short, so give it a read when you have 3 minutes.

Yes, Thank you.

That's pretty scary. I've only ever had one tick bite me and nothing ever came of it. I did flick one off that i saw crawling on my shirt.

Use permethrin. No worries. The sky is not falling.

Thanks for posting, I really need a better tick plan. I tend to wear lightweight clothing including shorts and sandals pretty early in the season so treating clothing may not be good enough for me.
