So I bought this as a total impulse purchase at the MWM expo yesterday, it's normally $49.95 and for some reason they're selling them for $29.96. It'll replace my old MSR Sweetwater, much smaller and lighter. We'll see how it compares in use. I'd been thinking I'd eventually get a Sawyer, but at thirty bucks I figure I'll try the Trailshot.

Been using one for a year now. Posted reports and configuring to gravity system.

Like it a lot, and it's as handy to use as advertised!

I also purchased one (after reading Ken's review) and I really like it. It may be more of a solo thing, as it would take some squeezing for a large group. For a solo I have loved it. Easy to use, easy to back flush. I take a larger water gathering container full of lake water back to camp, then filter sitting in the comfort of my camp chair.

I also was suckered into buying one after Ken's review. I generally drink unfiltered from the center of the lake but like to have options if the lake is questionable or if it's been raining lots. The Trailshot works great, fast, easy to fill, easy to flush. A great piece of gear. Thanks again Ken- really good advice.
