It showed up on mine also.

The forum was retitled from WCPP to the current name and perhaps it defaulted to everyone's board. I was already subscribed so I only noted the name change. You might go
here and click on the moderator's name to request that he/she work on removing you from that forum. It's worth a try until a mod checks in on this and removes those who do not wish to be on that particular forum.

I assume it was upgraded to equal status with Quetico, which also appears for everybody. I wonder if that might be due to Harlan paying some site costs or something like that. Regardless, why remove it? It's not doing any harm being there.

Yep, it's not listed as a private group.

Like HighnDry I was already subscribed, but did notice that it moved up the list.

I guess it's a leftover work habit. "Never provide functionality that users don't use."

I like as little clutter as possible. I would like to have the option to remove it. However if the site is getting $ for it being there, i am ok with that.

Yeah, it felt sort of ill-fitting at first. Like most here, I have a particular routine when going through the forums, and it put me off of my game for a while. I thought, "What's this doing here?" and, like some others, looked to see whether I did something goofy to add it by mistake or what I needed to do to rid myself of this newcomer.

Then, I clicked on a few of the threads inside and got absorbed in maps and routes and images... Pretty cool stuff... But, hey, don't you guys think I blow enough of my time here ALREADY??

It threw me off when it first popped up as well. It filled into the same spot that the General Discussion forum used to be and bumped General Discussion down one notch. I keep clicking on the WCPP forum by mistake because muscle memory dictates that the 5th forum down on the list is where I go for General Discussion.

I'll retrain myself soon enough so not a huge deal that its there assuming there is a reason for it. I'd have just preferred it to go at the bottom of the list but I'm sure I'll get over it in time.
