We are heading into the area around Island 41 and the few lake south of there (Tak, Trillium, and Trygg and Tesaker) May 25 thru the 30th. With ICE out being late and Lac La Croix remaining cold longer since is such a large body of water, would you typically stay in the shallower area on Lac La Croix OR venture into the smaller lakes that will likely warm up quicker?

We will be targeting smallies, some walleye and some lake trout knowing will pick up northerns along the way.

I know there's great structure on the south shore and all the islands near the south end of LLC, but not sure how quick fish will stage in that area in relationship to the smaller lakes.

Any insight, advice, or general direction would be appreciated.

Thanks-IndyFisher
