Who knew, you can get blue barrels at Home Depot?

They call them "mixing barrels" and are sold for use to mix mortar.

I'd want to see them firsthand. Not all blue barrels are the same.

That is true. I have the made in Germany Mauser barrels - been very solid.

These are not those, not sure if they are as good or not.

Drab: "Who knew, you can get blue barrels at Home Depot?

Here is the description - It would seem for what they are advertised for, they would work fine for BWCA use. 15 gal converts to about 57 liters.
Description:
Large blue mixing barrels holds up to 15 gallons of material. Use to mix self-leveling material, or other large quantities of construction materials. The barrel is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) provides high strength and durability with a lightweight feel. Handles on each side of barrel making carrying the empty barrel easy. Use both handles to lift and pour the mixed material onto surface. The lid is locked in place for secure transport or materials or tools.

Mix self-leveling or any other material
High-density polyethylene is durable for mixing material
Convenient handles for carrying and pouring mixed materials
Locking lid makes for easy transport

If those are the barrels I'm thinking of, they have large indentations in them to act as mixing blades as you roll them across the floor.

These are not suitable for camping. If you are talking about something different, my apologies.

Tom, the blue ones are just normal shipping type barrels, no indentations or interior paddles of any kind
