After many seasons of using my Nemo Bug Shelter on both bwca trips, and car camping trips the shelter has seen its better days. I ordered the woodland screen house from Bean to replace it. I know it’s heavy for bwca tripping, but I like comfort , so it will be used for both tripping and car camping. The reason I picked it was because of the full rainfly, and floor . Does anybody have any experience with this screenhouse?

Shelter
way to heavy for canoe camping but it is the greatest for car camping... you can get an optional snap in floor to convert to a tent.
I use the CCSLean3 shelter with the front screen on canoe trips when the bugs are bad...

I don't know what the storage bag is like on that one, but I have a LL Bean 6 person tent (one with a front "screen porch"), and found it much better to just buy a separate large duffel bag to store/carry the tent in. The original bag was a tight squeeze, once you'd taken the tent out & used it, and started to rip after awhile, so this just made it much easier.

Good advice!
I'm cool with comfort.........and i'm good without as well. Just depends on what sort of trip you want to order up. I could easily see myself bringing a screen tent especially if I went in july and a roll up table and yes some ice with steaks and all the goodies and base camping at Basswood. Sounds fun to me.
I have a floorless screen tent from Cabelas I believe that we used to use at state parks for camping. Slap some cots in their and the fam was comfy cozy. Nice!
I would likely stick with a model without a floor though...........thats what adds the weight and they might not hold up long term on anything other than grass.
Lets Go!
