Parking in Duluth or Grand Marais?

I'm thinking about meeting a cousin in either Duluth or Grand Marais and then having him ride with me. Does anyone know of a place to a park a vehicle in either town for a few days?

My buddy lives five minutes from there. Seems like it would be a good place to park and you can avoid downtown, too. It is on Hwy 53 between Maple Grove Rd and Arrowhead Rd.
