Come on paddlers, lets make this an outdoor festival to remember. All you Hoosiers, Illini, Badgers and Gophers make it your weekend getaway.

And anyone from Mississippi.. or anywhere else...

Voted best outdoor festival in Illinois..

Blutofish, I Googled it and it says the paddle portion is cancelled due to dangerously high water in the river. Do you know anything different?

I believe that was last years paddlefest. This years is on the 28th of July...

It has it's own facebook page. Check it out. It's a really good festival. It is the 4th annual Kishwaukee Paddlefest.

Yes, that was last year. This year it should be fairly normal for the Kish in that area. Going to try and make it out there with the kids as I missed it last year.

When we're able, my wife and I drive 550 miles for this. 8 1/2 hours if we don't bring the dogs. George's band, Jerry and whoever he brings from Nashville, top notch entertainment. Bob does an incredible job, works his butt off to make this what it is. Seriously, if you can make it you won't be disappointed.

Does anyone know how many miles the paddle portion is for this?

Current gauge reading at Perryville is 625 cfs and 6.21 feet. Do these readings indicate a scrape free paddle?

I'll paddle it Friday morning. I heard it's low. Stay in the main channel and you shouldn't scrape. There's a chance of rain overnight tonight so that could help.

Would love to go, but might be too overwhelmed with stuff I have to do.
