I use 3 different sizes of
Paderno Carbon Steel Crepe Pans at home. 6 1/4 to 9 1/2 inches, that cover a lot of single burner use on camp trips. Have not cut down the handles yet but will if I decide to take a small one packing. They work much as cast iron, give them time to heat up, then lower the burner temp some and cook away. Cleaning, seasoning, cooking abilities are very much like cast iron.
I do have a preference to stay away from coated cookware or anything that can burn or melt, these also fit the bill nicely.
