Our favorite restaurant is Insula in Ely the night before our trip, and who knows, we might go there again for our upcoming trip... but I was wondering...
Does anyone serve tacos in Ely?

I think the nearest location may be
La Cocina & Cantina
407 Chestnut St
Virginia, MN 55792
So you may have to get your taco fix either before or after your trip.

"Said one of these men, long past seventy years of age: 'I could carry, paddle, walk and sing with any man I ever saw. I have been twenty-four years a canoe man, and forty-one years in service; no portage was ever too long for me. Fifty songs could I sing. I have saved the lives of ten voyageurs. Have had twelve wives and six running dogs. I spent all my money in pleasure. Were I young again, I should spend my life the same way over. There is no life so happy as a voyageur's life!'"

Taco Tuesday vs fresh bologna Thursday - what a conundrum."
Why not merge the two, and have Hot Bologna Tacos on either day!!!!!! :)

To be fair... I drove from Ely to Grand Marais for Moose Madness... so, when in Rome. ;-)

The Street Taco and Eats food truck had been in town for July but left right after the blueberry festival. He said he would be back in September. They were parked across from Zups.

nctry: "TGO, no taco flavored leeches?"
Nope, with leeches being hard to find people would be buying them for bait, and
the only fish that would bite on them would be wearing sombreros!! :)

Hmmm..I wonder how a food truck that served tacos would do for the busy season? They are gaining popularity everywhere else, no reason to think that they would not be popular in Ely as well. Not sure how other local businesses would feel about it though...
