The river calmly flows, Through shining banks, through lonely glen, Where the owl shrieks, though ne'er the cheer of men Has stirred its mute repose, Still if you should walk there, you would go there again.

I would like to do that. Planned on driving up to Lutsen on Saturday but I don't know if that will still work. If I can get out on Saturday and get up there at a reasonable time I'll let you know.
Going into the deep woods is always an adventure, full of humor, drama and normally someone's blood, at least when you go with me!

Just missed you. We were in GM Friday evening, and now we are heading to Ely to spend the weekend. Our granddaughter will be one of the "flower girls" in Pat Surface's 60's show at VCC (Vermilion Community College) at 7 this evening.
We plan to have dinner at Burntside Lodge tomorrow evening before leaving town. One of my very favorite places in the world to dine, and haven't been there in a few years!
We have had a great week at a cabin at Clearwater Lodge. Glorious weather, although this area is very dusty and really needs rain!

Spartan2: I wondered, if that was you and Spartan 1 at Clearwater Resort down by the beach/dock area. We were there Monday night for the bunkhouse and I noticed the "The Flying Moose" on a canoe and car top carrier with a MSU sticker.

Yes! That was us! We were swimming/floating in the lake. I had a big flower-shaped floatie, and my granddaughter had an orca. Spartan1 was wading around. Some of the time Anna and I floated down to the dock by our cabin, which was down the road a bit, cabin 9. I wish you had found us to say "hi!"

Campcrafter - I was at Trail Center for dinner Saturday night with my two kids, sorry we didn't cross paths. Also bummed to hear I was so close to the Spartans!

We had breakfast at TC Saturday morning. "Ships that pass in the night".
Hope all of you have fun in canoe country.
