Just an FYI for anyone planning to go from lac la croix to iron lake or vice versa. Make sure you take the bottle portage through canada (this is legal even without a special permit). The southern route through the beaver pond is awful. The water level is almost too low to float, you have to load and unload in thigh deep muck, and the mosquitos are hellacious. I didn’t see this before my trip, so I’m posting now.
