Had some recent email exchanges about a tarp order. Mr. Cooke mentioned he was going to be visiting relatives in Columbus, OH for Thanksgiving.

Ditto that ditto.
I have avoided signing up for Facebook for years but, many small businesses are now using it as their primary means of communicating with their customers.
I recall early in my sales career when we started transitioning from the receptionist scrawling phone messages on those little pink pads to the receptionist connecting customers with each salesperson's voicemail. Younger customers rejoiced and our more mature buyers nearly revolted. I might have to admit that I might now fall into that "mature buyer" category.
Still, I will resist joining Facebook... at least until after the next election cycle is behind us.

I never joined Facebook, either, and have no plans to. However, my wife signed up, using my account, and then changed her mind and never used it. I don't use Facebook but I can link in from the CCS website. It shows up with my wife's name and picture, but I can assure you that I'm not that good looking.
I will post the sale late on Monday, when I return from work, if someone doesn't beat me to it.

I guess I am in the minority. I like FB. I can keep up with friends, family, classmates. We share fishing and hunting pics, keep up with what the kids are doing from a 1,000 miles away, organize family and class reunions, there is also a lot of funny stuff on there—the Andy Fales ND Bison feud was one of the funniest things I have ever seen—would of missed it except for FB etc... Also can find good deals and sales...like this one.
There is the occasional political post or sometimes a lot but then again just like on here you can just scroll through and not read them or ignore them like any adult should. You can also customize who you see or what you see. With that said, my Dad wanted me to set up a FB account this year because my Mom forgets to share info sometimes and I refused...he would get drawn into political posts very easily and would be unhealthy for him—so I do get the distaste by some, different strokes for different folks.

Well then, I'm in the minority too because I use FB. I find it is a great way to share new photos and slide shows when I upload them. But I do avoid politics and keep any personal info to a bare minimum.
But, we have digressed from the original post. I will be monitoring FB for any CCS sale announcement and share it.

Just snagged another Guide and a thwart bag. My current Guide (olive) went on 2 trips this year and worked great. I almost bought a Pioneer but thought if I wanted a smaller physical footprint, I could just pack less in the Guide. My concern is fitting 2 fully packed Guides on their sides (ha!) plus a 10gal barrel in a harness in the middle of a 2 or 3 person canoe. We fit a Guide and a GG Quetico plus the barrel for both trips this year but only just... I'll have to be careful not to overpack the second Guide. I just wanted some flexibility for group trips in case we pack a little differently; maybe high weight & low volume options in one bag and low-medium weight & high volume options in the other, to keep either bag from getting too bulky or too heavy. We'll see!

Dan was so nice that he gave me the discount last year weeks after it ended. His company is one of the rare few with great customer service.
For the record, I love Facebook. I'm able to keep up with cousins I never met as a child and my parents can get all the pics they want with the grandkids, even video skyping. Facebook makes that easier for them.

I ordered the 60 liter barrel pack and three zippered barrel sacks. Dan was so nice he threw in a fourth sack. I tested it on the Current River in Missouri this week and am really happy with it. The zippered pouch on top was large enough to hold three small dry bags with a jacket and other essentials. I packed extra clothing, gear, and sleeping bag in the barrel on this three night trip. I'll have to wait for a longer trip to use it as a food pack. I did use one of the zippered barrel bags to hold my food and butane stove. It made it very easy to see what food was on hand.
